03 DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

At this point, We Are HOME Design has presented you with our design proposal. This proposal encompasses:

​

·         all of the criteria and ideas as presented during the Discovery meeting,

·         an assessment of the land use bylaws,

·         maintained the restrictions as set by the instruments on title,

·         the guidance of the building code in order to keep you safe,

·         the best views available to your property,

·         and many other considerations that will go into making your home amazing.

As much as the design that our team has created is based on conversation, many new ideas and thoughts may come to light. This is the stage in which the design team may refine the preliminary design, while also adding more details and making any of the remaining changes necessary. We Are HOME Design will always welcome comments, suggestions and direction to better bring your home to you. These discussions are constructive and will produce the perfect home in the end.

We Are HOME Design will continue with our design process to develop all of the elevations, while also collaborating with the builder to develop the construction contract and pricing of the project. The contribution of the builder will help with any changes in criteria.

The design, presentation of the project, and revisions to the presentation is a cyclical process that will continue until all parties are happy and satisfied with the final design, that also accommodates the budget of the homeowners. There is no established timeline associated with this stage as it is a creative process and is the time to layer in the finest of details.

You are now happy and excited. The plan is decided and you have signed a contract to build the dream.  We Are HOME Design is now tasked with creating the construction documents.
