The We Are HOME Design team understands how overwhelming the development of a new home design can be for anyone, and everyone involved. We are here to assist you along this exciting journey of bringing your dream home to reality.
The Discovery phase is the first step along the path to your beautiful new home. This is the time to get to know one another, while really taking the time to discuss and understand the wants and needs for the home. This phase is the time for you, the potential new-home owners, and possibly additional family members to be present, and to begin the initial process. In some cases the builder will be there and, of course, our Principle Home Design Specialists.
As we get to know one another, we will be talking about the dreams and aspirations of your new home. We will talk about your family, your activities and things you like to do. We will discuss the ideal timelines and possible move-in date, so that nothing gets in the way of that ‘We are HOME!’ feeling. This conversational phase is where we will really get to know you and your lifestyle by asking questions such as, “How many cars do you have?” and “Where does the Christmas tree go and where will you store the decorations?” These are questions and the conversation they inspire will help us to understand the home you would like to raise your family in, and be able to entertain in. The We Are HOME Design team will strive to provide you with the optimum living experience that it tailored to your lifestyle.
The We Are HOME Design specialists value the opportunity to determine what is truly important to you by hearing the excitement in your voice and seeing the expressions on your face. This is one of the most crucial steps in our process as it allows our team to design the perfect home for you and your family.
As contributors to the Discovery meeting, all parties involved will need to come prepared with their wish lists and any pertinent information to the project. This is the time for you to express your ideas and wants to our team, and to discuss the important details, such as budget, site restrictions and to discuss the rest of the design process in further detail. We Are HOME Design will do our due diligence by investigating any community requirements, land use bylaws and title restrictions, as well as the site parameters based on the desired house size. Having all of this information prepped will help to have a highly productive Discovery meeting.
